Sandie, Michelle and Sarah challeged everyone to do something to help with the general running of the club to take some of the burden off of the same faces who do everything. Training starts on Wednesday 2nd September at 7pm at Oasis Academy (Millbrook site) May 12, 2010, 1:07 pm Due to players being involved in the play offs for the regional league and coaching courses there were only two teams taking the court for the first weekend. The senior team and the U19's had great success on the Saturday with both teams making it through to the Cup competition. Sunday saw both teams get into the knock out stages and then unfortunately both teams were indeed...knocked out. Meanwhile off the court there were fundraising efforts via a raffle and hopefully some more progress has been made towards making someone's "Dreams Come True"! Next weekend will see four teams play and hopefully make it through to the semi's and finals! May 12, 2010, 1:01 pm Last Saturday saw the club successfully win the play offs against other league winners in the South region to secure a place for a second team in the regional league. The team coached by Sarah Ellard won all their matches with room to spare and have opened the door for more players to represent the club at regional level. Well done! May 12, 2010, 12:56 pm The first match of the Summer League for Saucony 6 went very well. A nervy team took the court for the first time, with low expectations. By C Backshall |
